The growing imbalance cannot be remedied with the policies of the past – we've tried. Even if all suspected offshore resources were brought on-line, the impacts on gas prices would be pennies/gallon. Efficiency and alternate energy resources are the keys to restraining energy costs because they control the demand side of pricing."
